Photo of the 'Ben Vrackie' walk

Ben Vrackie

County: Perthshire

Difficulty: Medium

Duration: Over 2 hours

Wheelchair Friendly: No

An amazing walk starting in Pitlochry, passing through the tiny hamlet of Moulin. From here you pass a golf course, go through a forest, then up and or around Ben Vrackie as much/far as you like. The best thing is the Moulin Inn does wonderful food and is very dog friendly. There are many walks around Pitlochry to be enjoyed, they are all signposted and can be easy or difficult depending on whether you take your time or not. The scenery is amazing. At the top of Ben Vrackie you can see as far as your eye will let you, but even not going to the top is very enjoyable. You can make the walk 1 to 4 hours which I also liked. All the places in Pitlochry are dog friendly and they even bring a bowl of water for your dog when they bring your drinks in a lot of places without being asked. There is also a pet shop (which sells Hills)
