The Beeleigh Walk

A circular walk from Maldon Town Centre takes you through the countryside on paths and chases to the ancient hamlet of Beeleigh. The route passes Beeleigh Abbey (not open to the public), crosses the Chelmer and Blackwater Navigation and its weir stream, skirts a golf course and returns to the town along the seawall path bordering the uppermost tidal stretch of the River Blackwater.
