North Drumtochty
County: Aberdeenshire
Difficulty: Medium
Duration: 1 to 2 hours
Wheelchair Friendly: No
Beautiful scenery on a pleasurable walk around Drumtochty Forest. A few steep "calf tightening" ascents, but well worth the effort to enjoy the spectacular views. Different routes are marked by different colours, so check when you get to the picnic area and decide how energetic you and your dog feel. A beautiful dam provides some welcome respite from thirst for your four legged friends as well as some fresh water streams just asking to be paddled in! Bring a picnic as there are many lovely areas to have a quick break after a nice long walk. Lots of wildlife; birds, squirrels, frogs and fish. The walk allows people, dogs, horses and anyone willing to take in the thrill of it all. A wonderful afternoon or full day out for anyone.
